Academic standards in public schools has been declining for decades and the response by FCSD to covid-19 has exacerbated the problem. Studies show the impact on K–12 student learning was significant, leaving students on average five months behind in mathematics and four months behind in reading by the end of the school year.
FCSD administration and Board of Education is obsessed with sophomoric and divisive notions of diversity, equality, and justice; increasingly fostering a culture where academics take a back seat to identity politics based on race, ethnicity, religion, and gender.
Critical Race Theory (CRT) makes race the prism, or lens, through which its proponents analyze all aspects of American life, categorizing individuals into groups of oppressors and victims. It is a philosophy that is infecting every aspect of Fairport Central Schools, led by the administration and Board of Education, including curriculum, hiring practices, and so much more.
As our culture has become more and more sexualized, children have become the casualties of adult exploitation. Our children also are increasingly targeted for sexual messages, images, and themes at younger ages that is exacerbated by FSCD's increased focus on Gender Theory and Queer Theory.
